Pulling late hours here? Our evening shuttle can help ensure your safety while heading back to your vehicle between 5:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. As winter's approach means darker walks to and from your office (not to mention, snowier ones!), we strongly encourage you to avail yourself of this resource. Currently, on weekdays, this late night staff shuttle picks up at the Crittenden Loop, Strong Behavior Health, and Whipple Circle (the loop in front the Medical Center’s student bookstore) every 20 minutes, and then makes drop-offs to our onsite employee lots (1, 2, 3, 4, 9 and 11). See a current schedule, effective through Nov. 5, here. Please note that, when our Crittenden traffic loop closes for Golisano Children’s Hospital construction next month, a slightly revised schedule (starting Nov. 5, linked here) will take effect for this shuttle. At that point, you’ll see that the Crittenden loop stop eliminated. All service along this route is wheelchair-accessible. For more information, call (585) 275-5953. |

As health care reform challenges us to expand health insurance to cover 30 million more Americans – and improve the quality and effectiveness of that care, all on a smaller dime – traditional industry arrangements will only go so far. We sat down with URMC Chief Operating Officer Peter Robinson to make sense of how reform’s new financial incentives are rewriting relationships among players.
