If speaking in front of a crowd makes you nervous, you won’t want to miss this upcoming guest day event for the Daybreakers’ Toastmasters club (a public club that happens to meet at the University of Rochester Medical Center, 601 Elmwood Avenue). The group is eager to help you hone your speaking and leadership skills. For a taste of just how fun and rewarding Toastmasters can be, check out this special morning meeting from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, in the Medical Center's School of Medicine & Dentistry, Louise Slaughter Conference Room (room 1-9555). Toastmasters offers a fun, low-pressure learning experience that uses a proven methodology to improve your presentation skills.
