UR Staffer Named One of Four ‘Unstoppable Mom’ Finalists for Live with Kelly and Michael
Tuesday, March 12 2013

UR’s own Trelawney McCoy, single mother of eight, was recently named one of four ‘Unstoppable MOM’ contest finalists on ABC’s Live with Kelly and Michael show.

McCoy (pictured in top row, center) now enjoys a chance at winning $100,000 for her and her family – seven of which are adopted (over the past 14 years, the divorced mom of one opened her heart—and her home—to three sets of siblings).

Beyond working full-time as a health project counselor here at the University’s Building Healthy Children program, McCoy’s also an involved member of the community—as the first female President of the Rochester RAMS Pop Warner Football cheerleading coach, and a volunteer at the community rec center.

You can view a clip of McCoy on YNN, here. Voting on ABC’s website begins March 14.
