Bone Marrow Drive at URMC Honors Teen Patient

PICU Nurse Kimberly Maguda was profoundly touched by her patient, Nicholas Kovaleski, who had leukemia and an unusually difficult course that, unfortunately, culminated in his passing in June.

To honor his memory, she organized a bone marrow registry drive with the support of Pediatric Nursing and Administration.

Actors Needed for Medical Reader’s Theatre

Medical students, faculty, administrators, staff and friends are needed for an upcoming staged reading of Sidney Kingsley’s play Men in White, which won the 1934 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The play depicts challenges of the medical profession and hospital life in the 1930s. Many of the themes are still relevant to health care today.
