The east-bound, right-hand turn lane of Elmwood Ave. (at Mt. Hope) is scheduled to reopen on Sept. 29, but the lane closest to the median will close at that time. One east-bound lane of traffic will remain open until Oct. 30.

University of Rochester alum and retired local educator William A. Guiffre is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of his children’s picture books to Golisano Children’s Hospital at URMC.

To make way for construction of the new Golisano Children’s Hospital, some existing departments and critical access-points will move, affecting patients, visitors and families, vendors, suppliers and staff.

Flagmen will direct traffic on both days but slowdowns are expected. The western entrance of Sawgrass Drive is scheduled to be closed until Nov. 30.
